This one day course is normally included as part of our 4 week professional plumbing course but can be taken separately.
The course is certificated by BPEC (the British Plumbing Employers Council) and is a self study course. You will be provided with the self study manual, which comprises 12 individual modules each covering different aspects of the water regulations, 4 weeks before you take your assessment - or at the beginning of the 4 week course - and examined some 4 weeks later. The examination day comprises of 1/2 day presentation outlining the main principles of the water regulations followed by an open book (you can have reference material to hand) multiple choice examination.
When you have successfully passed the examination you will be issued with a certificate by BPEC and a credit card-sized ID card. You can then use these to help you register with your local water provider as an approved contractor which, among other things, allows you to self certify your work
